Blackberry Pie

4 c. fresh blackberries

1 1/2 c. sugar

2 T. sifted flour

1/8 t. salt

1 1/2 T. butter

2 unbaked deep dish pie crusts

 

Combine berries, sugar, flour, and salt.

Pour into one of the crust. Drop butter in dots on top of mixture. Can use other crust to make lattice for top crust. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes - Drop temperature to 350F and continue to bake for 30 minutes. Crust should be brown. 

Can mix berries such as raspberries with blackberries. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Let cool slightly before serving as berries can scald.
