2 c. sugar
1 c. canola oil
1 T. vanilla
3 cups flour (not self rising)
t. baking soda
2 t. cinnamon
Dash of allspice
3 medium or 4 small pears - cored & chopped
c. nuts chopped (pecans are what I use)
Preheat oven 325°F
eggs, combine with sugar, oil, and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, soda, cinnamon & allspice. Mix with egg mixture.
Add pears and nuts. Place equally into 2 greased & floured 9 x 5 loaf pans. Bake 325°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Check after 1 hour as ovens vary. Mom used walnuts in her bread.
