Sweet Charity

1 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped nuts (pecans are best)
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. softened butter or margarine

 

Mix and press into a 13" x 9" dish. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until brown.

 

Filling:
2 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 t. almond extract
2 c. powdered sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 c. whipping cream (whipped and sweetened)

 

Blend first three ingredients until smooth. Spread over crust. Fold pie filling into cream. Spoon over cream cheese filling. Chill 3-4 hours.
I top with pecan pieces. Michelle likes whipped cream on top. Both are great. Other pie filling, such as blueberry or peach, can be used.
