Tex-Mex Casserole

4-5 c. cooked chicken; white meat - cut into pieces
1 pkg. (1 lb) tortillas (corn or flour) - cut into pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
4 oz. taco sauce
4 oz. salsa (your strength! I prefer mild)
1 small can chopped black olives
1 small white onion, chopped
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese (I use closer to 1 lb.)
1/2 c. milk
1 large can chili
1 small can mushrooms, drained & chopped
 
Mix soups, chili, salsa, taco sauce, olives, garlic- 1 chopped clove if desired, and milk together in large bowl.
 
Layer in casserole dish in this order - Start with mixture, then tortillas, chicken, cheese. Always end with cheese layer.
 
Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
 
Serve with Spanish Rice and salad.
